Students discovered the artistic side of Adobe Photoshop by transforming a reference landscape into a hand-painted digital artwork. Using a Wacom Cintiq tablet, custom brushes, layers, texture techniques, color sampling, blending, and lighting, they recreated the scene through digital painting rather than photo manipulation. While every student began with the same landscape, each finished piece reflected a unique artistic style, introducing many students to the creative possibilities of digital illustration.
